The legendary Hemi is probably the most famous engine of all time. Named after the hemispherical shape of the combustion chamber, the 426 Hemi was originally designed to win at NASCAR and it was hugely successful. Although Chrysler had made an earlier 331 cubic inch Hemi in the 1950's, it's the 1960's 426 Hemi which became renowned. With two four-barrel carbs, the 426 street Hemi was rated at 425 horsepower and 490 ft-lbs of torque. The new generation 5.7 liter Hemi engine was introduced in 2002 and has become famous all over again. It's rated at 340-345 horsepower, and 375-390 ft lbs of torque. An SRT 6.1 liter version of the new Hemi is also available. It's rated at 425 horsepower and 420 ft-lbs of torque.Note that most shirts that have a small design on the front, also have a full-sized image on the back.
