Buick's 350 small block debuted in 1968. With a small bore and the longest stroke of any of the GM 350 engines, the engine made a lot of torque for its size. The 1968 L77 version, with a four-barrel carb and 10.25:1 compression, was rated at 280 horsepower and 375 lb-ft of torque. In 1970, it was rated at 285 hp.
